No-one at home... by vignouse

No-one at home...

...actually that's not true as both Mrs S and Mitzi were in the room when I took this - Mrs S to the right of the lamp-standard and Mitzi on the sofa in the foreground but both of them hidden in the deep shadow - just playing with different ideas today!

BoB - natch!
Good exercise on a low key photo and super focus - your settings must be right! .05 sec!

I like that small pool of light. Makes me want to curl up with a good book and a nice throw.

makes me feel relaxed and sleepy.

Great low-key...I'm missing a cat curled on the sofa's or chair's arm :).

@seattlite Funny you should say that... our cat Chania jumped down from the back of the sofa just before I took this: Mitzi is still there, but in deep shadow.

This image just floors me. It contains some beautiful contradictions, like feeling the warmth and security of a cashmere shall while entering an unfamiliar space. Invitation and uncertainty combined.

@steggiesaurus Thank you for your thoughtful comment which pleased me immensely because the border between intimate and threatening was what I was aiming for.

How moody and dark and very 'film noir' this is! Wonderful.

I really like this one. The selectivity of the light makes the mundane objects beautiful.
