This building - just a stone's throw from the centre of Paimpont - dates from the early 18thC and was originally a farmhouse. It has been a ruin for many years but recently the building was passed to the children of the elderly owner and they intend to renovate it as a retirement project. They have already tidied up and graded all the fallen stone and protected the walls from further degradation caused by water ingress... and - most importantly - planning permission has been applied for and granted. I don't think it will happen very quickly but I'm very much looking forward to it.
