The Passerelle de St. François (the St. François footbridge) spans the river Guindy connecting the communities of Tréguier and Plouguiel. The first bridge was constructed in 1833 and remained in service until 2004 when it was closed having become unsafe due to corrosion. Happily it was replaced in 2013 and is once more in service. I have posted images of both the old and new bridges before in my project and had intended to do the same today... but a detail caught my eye and I'm posting that instead. (That little intrusion in the bottom left corner annoys me though!)
@golftragic This is the new bridge Marnie but built in the style of the 180 year old one and using the same foundations so as to preserve the character of the area.
