I'm still doing my best to make this year a year of photos taken as close to home as possible. Yesterday's 'Dead Poplars' image was taken about 500 metres away - couldn't get much closer for today's image as it was taken from an upstairs bedroom window looking south.
The sun reflecting off the biodegradable polythene sheeting (which protected the root structure of the, now harvested, maize crop) caught my eye. Since I took this image this morning, the field has been harrowed (they don't plough any more) and planted with winter wheat.
@graemestevens Thank you Graeme, and you're right. The correct exposure for the sky and the field left the trees and the houses completely underexposed... so they needed a bit of 'seeing to'!
