30 Shots for April - Day 23: Last of the Figurines
@annied is hosting a challenge for April to take 30 shots of the same subject - since I've been struggling for inspiration all year, I've chosen to join in just for the fun of it. I have decided that my subject will be the glass cabinet in our kitchen - here's the twenty-third glimpse of what you might find within...
...the last of the musician figurines - a couple this time.
VML how understated they seem. Whilst these have no real value, their deadpan expressions are priceless! Attractively presented. Am enjoying this series, particularly as whilst each shot is not linked to another, it reminds me of a jigsaw puzzle as groups of pieces come together. In this case, there's a WOW factor for me; they constitute years of collection, history and memories ;-). Splendid!
My late mother-in-law has hundreds of figurines that are wrapped and boxed in my Mum’s basement...although they were all bought in charity shops, I actually have two figures in my bathroom, they are exquisite...
Interesting challenge and your interpretation of the challenge "the same subject" gave me a wry smile. I think everybody must have had a relation in the past that had these ornaments. Good shot Richard.
