A view this evening looking east from the footbridge across the Nantes-Brest Canal in Châteaulin town centre. I was struck by how the houses on the left look like like a housing developer's mock-up... yet all of these date from the beginning of the last century, or earlier.
Once again, I'm amazed by the ease with which modern cameras can handle IS0 12800.
lovely evening shot - and it's recent that new housing developments have echoed the irregularity of the older houses. Back in the 70s housing was all the same
I lived in a village that had three huge housing estates built on it in the late 60s and 70s, all with matching houses. Not bad 60s open plan houses, from the ones I went into, but no variation in design. It's still had more building since
Impressive! You can give credit to the camera if you like but I'm sure I couldn't get anything near as good as this - my eyes don't work very well in such low light!
