Black and White Blackbird... by vignouse

Black and White Blackbird...

...a pair of Blackbirds have decided that our home should be their home too. They spend much of their day on the back lawn searching for tasty grubs. Here's the male digesting a worm he's just swallowed and giving us the chance to appreciate the delicate patterning of his plumage.

OB is the way to go!
Wonderful detail!

The feathers are so beautiful and the bird is so sharp... great use of shallow DOF for the background. It works so well in this shot.

It's easy to say that this a great shot...it is...and much more. VML how all of what is behind him from mid-breast and above his tail, segue into relief. What a splendid B/W/B!

@joansmor Thanks Joan, for interest it's taken with the big lens at 600mm and 1/100th sec... hand-held!

@vignouse I want to set up my 600mm at the window where my birdfeeder is this weekend. I am just busy with my job, my creative team assignments, my virtual camera club and housework. One day I just have to do it.

Wondering what lens you are using, I never could make up my
mind between the Tamron and Sigma.
November 18th, 2020
@tosee It's the Tamron 150-600 1st generation, Tom. What lens are you using with your Leica CL?
