Repaired Lens - Test 2 by vignouse

Repaired Lens - Test 2

This image, taken from in front of our garage door and looking east, follows on from yesterday where I posted a low-light shot having attempted to repair a focussing problem in a 24mm-120mm (full frame equivalent) zoom lens.

Today's post is a daylight shot taken at f/8 and ISO 400. Whether the problem is completely solved is difficult to say but the images I have shot so far are a lot sharper than before.

Tomorrow I'll try a close-up.

BoB!
Looks like awesome focus and DOF... love the leading lines.

Lots of textures and lines. Looks like your focus issue is solved.

You are much braver than I. The most I’ve ever attempted was to do some focus tests and apply a slight correction in-camera. Taking elements of a 1000 pound lens apart makes me sweat just thinking about.
I like the narrow and strongly directional feeling of this shot.

Good for you. There are so many lovely textures in this image of your house.

I’m guessing your focus point was about a third in? It looks nice and sharp there

Great black and white image. Would love to try to calibrate my lens as feel I don't always have that crisp shot but it makes to nervous to try it.
