Station Folk

Seen at Redon station while waiting for Mrs S's train to arrive. It was 40 minutes late - SNCF are on strike... again!
This is a wonderful shot. Except for the modern train and clothes it reminds me of old advertisements in the National Geographic. I used to look at them at my grandparents' home.

I really like this - such a great representation of how we live our lives together, but separately.

Excellent social comment. Meeting, greeting, looking and not a skirt or dress in sight.

I like this scene. The lady on the train gives it a sense of action, something imminent, whilst the group is static. But where are the smokers? When I used to travel to Paris a TGV stop was always accompanied by a few smokers at each carriage door.

I love the smooth tones on the train car and how the sun catches the folds in the women's clothing! Great PoV! FAV!
