You may well ask what this is all about! Well. when Chania - a stray who 'adopted' us - first took up residence indoors, we put her food bowls in the back corridor away from those of Princesse, our dog, who had her food and water bowls in the kitchen. This arrangement was always respected by the two of them, but after Princesse had passed and Mitzi arrived on the scene, she decided that emptying Chania's food bowl was de rigueur. To prevent this we started putting Chania's bowl out of reach of Mitzi on the the wash-basin in the downstairs shower-room but it didn't take long for Chania to get bored of waiting for the bowl to be put on the floor and ever since, this has been her feeding station.
Chania is very much Her Own Cat, sleeps on a sofa in our room during the day and on our bed at night! Cats, in our experience, are impossible to train.
No feeding mess with either of them. They both have good French manners!
