The sun decided to bathe us in dramatic light this afternoon - see my main post at https://365project.org/vignouse/365/2018-03-07 - but it was not a 100% welcome experience because it illuminated every speck of dust and rain stains on the windows at the front of the house. Here's Mrs S kneeling on the window seat in our book room in full window cleaning mode.
I couldn't resist posting this for a bit of fun - it views nicely on black.
I always wanted a window seat. Shh! Don't tell all your secrets. What you see as dust and stains actually looks to me like part of the landscape outside the window.
Housework holds no thrall for me. My excuse is that I was brought up in hotels until the age of 8/9. I was more interested in cooking and baking...and Mum (and Granny when she came to stay) encouraged me and taught me to knit and sew. More pleasurable IMHO than housework. However...things do bite back. R, star player, does all food shopping and cooking. He's an excellent and imaginative cook..and I'm the principal beneficiary ;-)
