OCOLOY Day 46: Château de Trécesson by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 46: Château de Trécesson

Still coughing, sneezing and wheezing today - in fact, worse than yesterday - so I needed a reliable photo that wouldn't need me to spend too much time outside in today's bitter wind. This château has featured in my project a couple of times before, but not from this angle on the eastern bank of the moat. You can find the very different view I posted in December, together with the history of the château, here: http://365project.org/vignouse/365/2015-12-23

The image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my post for 1 January and in my profile. I'm also tagging this for B&W February.

Good thing you don't live in there, I guess it would be a little damp.

Such beautiful old world architecture! Great pov angle and composition. I think I hear Sir Lancelot coming.

Excellent composition, the boughs provide an effective set off for the structure. BoB on form too.

Love a good turret
February 16th, 2016
Massive construction quoiqu'un peu austère....il est vrai que l'on voit peu de gothique flamboyant en Bretagne ;)
En tous les cas jolie photo qui donne une impression de "force"!

@mashapix Follow the link in my narrative above and read about the bride buried alive on her wedding day!

@fntngrma You might well hear Sir Lancelot Rosan because this area is also the home of the Arthur legends. Just a few kilometres from this château you can find Merlin's Leap, Merlin's Tomb, the Valley of No Return, the Fairies Mirror, the Giant's Tomb and many more!

Nicely thought out composition & perfect lighting
