OCOLOY Day 119: Quatre Rochers by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 119: Quatre Rochers

I can't be the only one that comes across something rather ordinary but which just demands to be photographed... so it was with these four rocks at the edge of the forest that caught my eye whilst driving by.

As always, this image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

Yes, it's BoB... yet again!
Looks really great on black. makes the background stand out more. Great shot Richard, you gave life to those four rocks..

Isn't it amazing how sometimes you notice things more then on other day.

I like it especially on black!

Massive. I like when that happens to me. Much better than going to search for something to take a photo of.

Looks great on black, I like the lighting especially how it recedes into the trees.

I always take the ordinary in the hope I can make it interesting, so you are not alone. These are intriguing, so many questions as t why they are just at this spot etc... you continue to amaze me with your dedication to your OCOLOY quest. Almost 4 months down.

Looks great on black and interesting shapes, textures

LVM all the textures here...humus, leaves, twigs and trees which will all live, wither and die in Nature's time. Meanwhile these Rocks of Ages aren't going anywhere in a hurry. They're in for the long game. Love it.

Yes, I know the feeling. Indeed nothing more satisfying, I think, than capturing something that seems significant from the apparently ordinary. You've done that here.
