OCOLOY Day 199: L'abri des Flots

L'abri des Flots - 'Shelter from the Seas' in English - is an excellent fish and sea-food restaurant in the port of Erquy on the north Brittany coast. Mrs S and I ate there this lunchtime, but where most of the diners preferred to sit on the sea-view terrace, we were happy inside sheltering from the 30 deg heat. This is the view from our intimate corner table at the back of the restaurant.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

This is one to view on black I think...
Good contrast between the bright, heavily populated terrace and the dark, intimate interior.

I'm right there - when viewed on the black! Hard to imagine 30deg temps when its 6 deg here! But nice to think about!

Great in B&W! The inside is beautiful, but I doubt it can compare with the view outside.

beautiful tones of light and dark here... i quite like the repeating gentle bits of light on the chairs, and the woman in the back who appears to be looking at the camera :)

I love how the light has grabbed your subjects and the dark perspective line pulls us right there to the shadowed frame, it's a delightful spying feel.

Really great shot, contrast and darkness to light works so well. Mostly definitely at it's best viewed on black. fav
