OCOLOY Day 275: Help me make it through the night

It's been that sort of day!

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

One to view on black I think!
what a name for an alcohol.

Oh for sure! Great commentary. Fav.

@frankhymus Thanks Frank - I've been fighting a reluctant laser printer all evening which didn't want to be recognised after Windows 10 did a major upgrade and I needed to print off the scores for mass tomorrow as I'm leading the service. I finally got there just before midnight but what to do for 365? This was conceived, shot and uploaded in under 10 minutes!

@vignouse Kudos to you for the work you do for the services!

As regards my trial of the X-T2 (one of your new favorites i know) it's been dull and raining all week end, so perhaps later.

Such an atmospheric shot, with the POV clearly bringing you into the mood of the protagonist, The name on that bottle made me laugh, though.
October 1st, 2016
@francoise @jyokota I chose this bottle because I thought that it might raise a few smiles - you can see the three monkeys, cast in metal, which are glued to the shoulder of the bottle... hence the name. I also chose it because it's a jolly good whisky!

@frankhymus Mr Bezos's enterprise informed me by e-mail earlier today that mine will be delivered on Monday morning... it won't get much use until I've finished with Ocoloy though ;-((

Wait...do you have four children under the age of nine, too? (as I pour myself a glass of wine) :-) Hope your day got better!
October 2nd, 2016
You wouldn't want to throw that bottle away! I know its good whisky! Just might join you with some anCnoc! Except its not night time here!

Really tells a tale. I have a friend who has a small non-profit business whose printer is also acting up after the installation of Windows 10.

Nice image, great lighting. Wish I could taste the whisky, I'm sure it's wonderful too...
October 2nd, 2016
Super image...great composition, lighting...I certainly understand your frustration with WIN10. WIN10, in my opinion, has too many areas for storing pics.
October 2nd, 2016
@vignouse -- my eye had gone straight to the name on the bottle, and now, clear as can be, the monkeys appear!
October 2nd, 2016
Nicely composed shot. Almost smell the whisky here in somerset. Alarming about win10 as I am in the process of ditching my Mac and going over to the dark side after 20 years of using Apple
October 2nd, 2016
Interesting... I have been threatening for a year to buy the iMac with the high-definition sccreen... why do you want to go back to the 'dark-side'? I wouldn't worry about my problems - it's an obsolete printer that I bought in the time of Windows Vista and we have had 7. 8, 8.1 and 10 since then.
October 2nd, 2016
Great bottle and story (reading through the comments). I have an iMac and love it! Will never look back...
October 2nd, 2016
Windows will always need much more than a bottle of whiskey, I fear... I switched off to Mac 10 years ago after literally throwing out the window my latest newest last win laptop and I never regretted of having done that (throwing the win laptop and switching off to Mac!)
October 2nd, 2016
Now here's a photo that tells a great story.

Here comes the night. Van Morrison

Tells a great story! I hope you enjoy your XT2 as much as I am enjoying mine, though I don't have much to compare it too. I only have the kit lens at the moment. My next purchase is the 35mm F2, so I can have a weather proof kit. Working with my X70 has made me enjoy having a fixed lens length.
October 2nd, 2016
@ukandie1 I wondered how you were getting on with it... I wasn't going to get the kit lens but at only 200€ more and in view of the good reports it gets, it seemed silly not to! The lens I really want is the 56mm f/1.2 but that will have to wait a while.
October 2nd, 2016
Should we be worried... as I said to Mrs S in response to her pic of you with an iPad and a glass!
October 3rd, 2016
Some days certainly call for a cocktail at the end. Great shot.
October 3rd, 2016
@yrhenwr This one was purely medicinal - the other one was an after Sunday lunch Armagnac and was pure pleasure ;-)) @s4sayer

hum!
October 4th, 2016
I missed this one...........love it!!! FAV

DoY
Interesting. Compare the issues leading to the drink with the business concept of 'who owns the monkey'; in this instance the 'monkey' being the service.
October 5th, 2016
Updates, smupdates!!! Love the name of the whiskey.
October 7th, 2016
Love the song ...
October 21st, 2016
@vignouse Wait, print the scores - you do music too?
October 21st, 2016
@runner365 They are of more use to the organist (when we have one) than me - I lead the singing and worship in a very amateur fashion: I am definitely not musical, I can't play any instrument and Lord knows I've tried!
October 21st, 2016
@vignouse Are you being modest again ... :-)
