OCOLOY Day 354: Foggy Evening in Paimpont by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 354: Foggy Evening in Paimpont

This is the Rue Charles de Gaulle - every French town seems to have one - but at least his mother lived on this street during the war (by the 3rd lamp-post on the right) so the naming is not as gratuitous as it might seem... and it beats the heck out of High Street/Main Street, which it actually is! Another of those foggy evenings that seem so common as the year comes to a close - almost as if nature is obliterating that which is now almost past.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

BoB I should think...
Lovely imagery captured photo and words, Richard. Thank you, as always!

Definitely lovely! We don't seem to get that much fog, at least not the type that makes for good photos. I really like this.

Not for the first time I've noticed Brittany seems to share a weather system with southern England. Or at least we had fog tonight too! I like how the lights beat a path through it in this image.

I like how the scene disappears into the clouds -- Twilight Zone feel to it.

I like your perspective that creates a leading and vanishing point...has a bit of mystery about it.

Ir's all been said. Well done!

Definitely better 'bobbed'! Super mysterious capture. Yes, I always think the French are a little unimaginative regarding their street names; as the same names reappear in every town, practically. However, as you say, better than High street, or Main street; equally unimaginative!
