PLAY January - Nikon 50mm f/1.4G: Wrench, Bench & Box
More treasures from the old barn where we store our Camping Car/RV: I spotted these this morning when I went to collect my generator after leaving the batteries to charge overnight. There are no windows in the barn so this was lit only by the open pedestrian access door and required a fast aperture even at ISO3200 - f/2.8 here. The counterpoint is that the DoF is very limited at this aperture so composition and positioning the plane of focus becomes more critical.
This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: in January it's the Nikon 50mm f/1.4G on a full-frame camera (the D610 today).
love how these textures come alive and great idea of using a different primes each month ;) I keep wondering if I should upgrade my 50mm 1.8 to the 1.4!!
Oh yes! These texture shots are usually a winner with me, Richard. Fine detail here. Fav! You've got me wanting to get out and about with the Spotmatic and 50mm (as a substitute for buying a K1 with modern 50mm!) Patience David! ...wait for the leg to mend. (Turns out to be osteo-myelitis)
