PLAY April - Fuji 27mm f/2.8: Tulips by vignouse

PLAY April - Fuji 27mm f/2.8: Tulips

Mrs S came back from shopping today with this bunch of supermarket tulips: I was struck by how dramatic they looked and set about capturing that for my today's post.

This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for April it's the Fujinon 27mm f/2.8 on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Fuji X-T10) - the equivalent of a 40mm lens on a full-frame camera.

Viewing on black works best...
I did the same thing today. They just seemed right and I can't do Lily's because of an allergy to them. I was thinking of playing with them tomorrow. I enjoy the happy color of this and it makes me want to play for sure with mine tomorrow.

It must supermarket flower day. I bought a rose to shoot as well. I really like the center one being just slightly lighter than the rest.

It's a lovely bouquet of tulips and your capture against the black definitely sets them off.

You get such beautiful reds. (My camera seems to over-do that color.)
