Project 52: Week 25 - Going Nowhere

A dinghy belonging to the Paimpont Canoeing & Kayaking Club, kept in readiness in case of emergencies during training of youngsters.
I'm no sailor, but I think that's meant to be in the water...and excellent shot none the less.

@graemestevens Graeme, I think it's due to the latest raft of over zealous Health and Safety rules. Boats must be kept on land in case they get too wet.

Wonderful B&W shot Richard.

Oh so lovely, that weathered dock in Black and White

Terrific composition...I like the rippling water

Wonderful composition -- nice lines from the pier through the boat, and layers of pier, lake, trees, and sky.

VML the range of Nature's textures. Also reminds me of the Girl Guides' motto, Be Prepared. I presume, the now Scouts have the same motto?

Yep, still the same!

@graemestevens @markp This new edict came out of some in-depth research which revealed that there are tens of thousands of recorded cases of ships and boats sinking whilst in the water, but not a single case of a vessel sinking on dry land... or dry dock - res ipsa loquitur!

@vignouse Richard, for once, I think this new policy might improve safety.

super!

Good lines and composition.

The shot, beling in B&W, gives a feeling of winter to me. No people, no other boats or houses. So alone.

It's like the river is teasing the dingy. Jump in you know you want to. Fantastic shot.

I like the leading lines you've got here, starting with the ramp on the left, down to intersection and then along to the dinghy... fav

I really like this shot, lovely composition, lead in lines and beautiful black and white & with that lovely twist of the boat not being in the water, but above it. It makes you look longer.
