Project 52: Week 27 - Répercussion

Every two years in our area, the art society Étangs d'Art - 'Pond Art' - creates art installations in various lakes and ponds around the area - I've featured them in my project before. This installation - in the poetically named 'Valley of the Wolf's Bedchamber' - is by local artist Jean-Michel Darras and is entitled Répercussion.

The artist says of his work:

For each event there is a reaction which reverberates outwards...
Be it a seismic or physical shock or an emotional one...
Be it a movement in the air, a look, a sentiment...
Be it a meeting or a distant view...
In one way or another, like the Butterfly Effect...
All these events radiate like the energy of an aura.

Best viewed on black...

This is amazing on black, and I can almost feel the reverberations in the sculpture. Really nice.

Brings to mind one of them corn starch on speaker experiments. Your shot shows it well. Although, the green area top right is a distraction for me Richard.

@gamelee Thanks Lee - I dropped the exposure in the corner by almost 2 stops, but I wanted to leave enough detail to place this in its setting.
