Alligator teeth

Today must be the hottest day of the year so far. It was lovely outside, so I decided to pop out during lunch to the nearby Rushcliffe Country Park in Ruddington. I took a few nice photos, but was conscious that I had already taken quite a few nature shots this week and I didn't want to get stuck in a rut. However, on my way back to the office I saw this strange and interesting sign.

I like the strong yellow in contrast to the blue sky, as well as the leading lines of the trees that juxtapose well with the sign because of the angle the photo was taken from. I also like the quirkiness of the text and the image. I'm intrigued as to why it's there and what it means.

A colleague mentioned that she liked my photos, but that it's now time for something more "edgy". I'll be in the city centre tomorrow Louise, so I'll keep an eye out! At some point this weekend, if the weather holds up I plan on taking my D-SLR out too, so hopefully I'll get some interesting shots.

Fantastic catch. I'm also curious as to what it means. Are alligator teeth just laying around on the ground? I think not!
I agree with you about the colors, the trees and the angle. You have a great eye for catching what others probably igore.
