I got home after work and still needed to take today's picture. I won't give away what my set-up was in case I need to use it in a future post, but I grabbed some decorative artefacts from the house to take photos of in the garden. After a few shots, I heard a "meow".
This black cat was looking right at me. I took a few snaps from a distance and at first it didn't seem particularly perturbed - or so I thought - so I got closer and took some more. It then starting meowing incessantly, and I think it may have been scared of jumping off the fence. It seemed to struggle a bit and looked a bit agitated, so I offered to pick it up to move it but it was having none of it. The cat looked like it would scratch or bite me if I tried to touch it.
Another busy day at work. In yesterday's post I mentioned that I thought the quality of my photos may deteriorate over the next few weeks as work gets busier. However, I forgot to mention what will almost wholly consume my life over the coming month; the World Cup! I can't wait.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Sometimes the best photos are the ones that are just unplanned! This is one of them because this is an amazing photo! You really captured the cat's expression!
This is marvelous that the cat just made its presence known and didn't require a lot of preparation! You got such a great moment for us who appreciate a cute cat photo...and I love your caption. Exceedingly clever!
