I wanted to try something new today in Photoshop. The picture I've taken isn't the most imaginative, but I added a textured layer to see if I could give the image a visual boost.
I'm pleased with the effect despite the subject matter. Basically all I did was download a textured layer off the Internet and overlay it on to the image in Photoshop. I then changed the opacity to make it partially transparent.
The plant above is a hoya kerrii. The heart-shaped plant is a popular Valentines Day gift for obvious reasons. Apparently, if looked after correctly, it will grow into a climber with nice, fragrant flowers. I didn't know this until I Googled it just now, so I better start watering it more often!

Interesting flower! I've never seen this type of flower...Keep showing us the progress after you water it of course! haha! I like the effects that you added to this photo as well...pretty colors!
Wow, I love this. Made it a fave! Thanks for your comment on my "mystery" flower. I had to research to figure it out...It was one of the only plants in the garden without a sign. Turns out it is a type of Allium Flower.
