Don't worry, I don't have delusions of grandeur. Today's title is taken from a little known song by Flobots called 'Handlebars'. The song is about the power of mankind and how it can be a force for good or for bad. The lyrics are quite moving; even if you don't like the song itself I think it'd be hard to at least not appreciate the sentiment.
At work today I set up the equipment for a speech by members of the Executive Board. When it was done I thought I'd take a few pictures of the microphone.
I'm quite pleased with it. I was debating between keeping it in colour or in monochrome, but after consulting my other half we both agreed black and white is better.

haha. i love that you wrote you have no illusions of grandeur.
beautiful composition, btw. i love the sharpness of the mic and the perspective...and how it sorts of melts and fades towards the hand.
Love this pic, because I have been a singer at this angle of the mic. for a living for along time. And seen many politicians use my mic. to tell many things that were sometimes truthful and many more times not. Thanks for the great pic and the memories. Great shot.
