Saw my little brother today for the first time in ages. He's finished uni and he's back home. The last time I saw him I was in my twenties (well, 29)! He came back with a collection of guitars - four in total. Oh, and some bongos too! He's got all musical. I think he looks a bit like Bob Dylan, but he can't (or refuses) to see the resemblance, even with his hirsute look and hair styled the way it is.
We were listening to some Rolling Stones - hence the name of today's post, which is a song I love from their 'Exile On Main St.' album. I thought it was fitting that I took some pictures of my brother, so I captured a few of him with his guitar.
As I've said in a few recent posts, I've become a big fan of black and white photography, and I think it works well with candid shots like this. I deliberately cranked up the ISO so the grain gives it that classic black and white photo-journalistic feel.
On my way home from my parents the sunset was lovely. The clouds looked like they were on fire as the reds were so intense. I took a few pictures, and I was fairly happy with a couple of the shots, but I'd rather post a sunset picture when I have my D-SLR and tripod to hand and not just my S90. I want to do it properly, and I'm happy with my picture for today.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Such a neat shot...I love how the guitar is positioned and how your brother is slightly out of focus. very artistic! :)
and I find it soo cool that your brother is musical. I'm not super musically talented...I mean I can play the piano but quit lessons...and kinda guitar, drums, and bells...but super cool that hes into that stuff. Can he sing!?
Marvelous vantage point, and a nice, unposed and natural image.
Thanks for your kind words about my "Oh Canada" photo...I know how serious you are about your photography, so that means a great deal, coming from you.
