I went to the theatre this evening. It topped off what was a busy and ultimately enjoyable day. After watching England win against Slovenia in the World Cup to qualify for the knock-out stage, I went to Nottingham's Theatre Royal to watch The History Boys. It was funny, intelligent and covered a variety of themes; I'd recommend it! If it's not playing anywhere near you, check out the film of the same name (although I haven't seen it).
Next to the Theatre Royal is the Royal Concert Hall. The Theatre Royal has a traditional structure, whereas the Royal Concert Hall was built at a later date and has a fairly interesting modernist design. I had a few minutes before the show started, so I took a few pictures.
I like the reflections in the windows, and how it's quite abstract. I hardly edited this photo, so I'm quite pleased with it considering how little time I had today. I probably would have framed it slightly better though with more time.
So it's Germany next for England this weekend. It should be an enthralling match. I think I'm watching it at a friend's house during a barbecue; it should be fun, and perhaps another photo opportunity. I have to start planning these things in advance!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.
