Today's title is an old Arab proverb. I chose it because of today's photo, which is my second self-portrait and another black and white image.
It doesn't signify how I feel today, or anything like that. I took loads of photos, and almost every single one was without my hand in the shot, but this was my favourite. I think it looks like an aspirin commercial - or an advert for laxatives!
The main reason for today's self-portrait is the beard. It's the heaviest beard I think I've ever had, and is really itchy! A colleague from work died of cancer last month, and for his wake (which is later this week) he wanted the men to grow moustaches, as he didn't want it to be a sad event. To tie in with the theme I said I'd grow a beard, and then for charity colleagues from work could pay to vote for the type of 'tache I have. The choices are a Tom Selleck, a Charlie Chaplin or a Village People-style handlebar moustache. Later this week I'll post a photo of the vote winner!
By the way, I've surpassed a hundred followers... thanks so much guys and gals!

I'm sorry to hear about your colleague, but I do like your photo. I was thinking you were distressed, but headache works too (laxatives??haha) Will be interested to see what you end up with--I have to say, out of those 3, I'm a Charlie Chaplin fan.
Well, today I can as I have a head cold... *sniffle*... and my head feels like it's the size of a football field! Blech!
