Today was quite a fun day at work. We had a free barbecue at lunch, with hot dogs, burgers and ice cream to follow. Afterwards some people had organised a penalty shoot out as it's the World Cup Finals weekend. I scored my penalty! More were saved than scored as the goal was smaller than usual, so I'm glad I didn't make a fool out of myself.
I took my camera out to grab a few shots of the penalties, but I then saw a brilliant cloud formation with the sun shining brightly behind it.
I think this has an almost otherworldly feel to it. It reminds me of a galaxy as the clouds seem like they're swarming around the sun. I've hardly edited this photo; it didn't really need it. I've just raised the clarity so you can see the shapes of the clouds. I'm not going to try and guess what type of clouds these are, as I'm sure I got it wrong when I last attempted to on day 15! If you know, please tell.
The weather was lovely today. Perfect barbecue weather. It's going to be very warm too this weekend, which is nice. I'm also off for a few days next week, so I'm hoping that I'll take some excellent shots over the coming days.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.
