I've had a really uninspired week so far. I think being bored at work has led to boring pictures. It's a vicious cycle. Maybe I'm putting too much pressure on myself to take a quality photo every day.
I took photos of various things today and nothing captured my attention. As I started cooking this evening's dinner I took a few snaps of something from the fruit bowl.
It's a bunch of bananas. Enough said.
At the moment I feel as if my current lens collection is holding me back. I'd like to purchase a lens in the next week or so, but I'm so indecisive. Shall I get a better 'walkabout' lens to replace my kit lens? Shall I go for a 28mm prime, as I think it'd be more useful than my 50mm? An ultra-wide angle is enticing me at my local second-hand camera equipment shop - shall I go for that? Or shall I fill that gap at the telephoto end of my limited lens collection? I don't know; I'm still not sure what direction my photography is going in. It's driving me bananas thinking about it!

I always fee uninspired after taking (what I think) is a good snap - for a while it's as if I have to live up to my last decent pic.. However, I know what you're going through, as been there many times throughout this project. Although, I wouldn't say you've had a bad week - the girlfriend in the bath was a great pic.
As for the lens question - thankfully I'm a bit ignorant on the techie front so am unsure what the benefits of one lens over another is. Maybe as I get more into this I'll learn what does what and then the trouble will start...
I understand about the pressure of always having a quality picture online. I do the same...but I just try to relax and allow myself to have some off days. This is a good picture...creative subject! :)
Don't put to much pressure on yourself! Your photos are always great, and, besides, nobody can't produce a stunning shot every single day. Just go with the flow, don't think much about it, and the photo opportunities will present themselves! ;-) I love the symbolism in this photo ;-)
Sounds like you've got to decide what direction your going with your photography, your right. If you want a walkabout I do highly recommend the 17-85mm from canon. Best of luck with your decisions.

Trying to break the wall I hit..
Still a good picture though :D
