I paid a brief visit to my friend John Wynn after work today. I did a shoot with John on day 12 and day 59, and he's an interesting character who lives a bohemian lifestyle in a dilapidated building. He lives next to rubble from a knocked-down structure in Bobbers Mill, Nottingham, and adjacent is a place where all sorts of stuff has been dumped. I thought I'd do a shoot of the surroundings.
It was also an excuse to use my new lens again. I'm still getting used to it, and like all lenses it has its strengths and weaknesses. It again highlighted that I want to get an ultra-wide angle lens as this one isn't wide enough. Also, perhaps I should have got low to capture more of the sky to make this image stronger.
My cousin bought a Canon EOS 450D recently. He lives in Dubai, and he went to the Oman yesterday. He's new to photography and took some snaps whilst he was there, but unfortunately captured all of his images in JPEG instead of RAW. As he's a graphic designer, he said he was happy with how he could manipulate JPEG images using Photoshop. I insisted that RAW was much better, but he didn't seem convinced until he took a few photos again this morning in RAW. He rang me up at work just to tell me that he couldn't believe the difference!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

This is really great, just full of haphazard stuff and colors in the foreground. The more I hear of your friend John Wynn the more I want to sit and have a cup of coffee with you three. He sounds like an awesome guy.
