I went to see the parents today and forgot my camera. It's a shame, because I saw a few things I could have photographed on my journey there and back. That meant when I got home I still had to take my daily image, so I set up something in my kitchen.
I spilt a little water on the kitchen top and put a fork on it to achieve the reflection. I used my tripod and a long exposure to maintain sharpness. In post-processing I converted it to black and white.
I bought some pears today as part of this week's food shop. I think they would make an interesting still life subject, so I'm going to try a shoot with them at some point this week. That means another shoot in the kitchen, and another inevitable moan from my other half when I make a mess!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Great idea with the water. I took some photos of a fork last week, using a mirror as a base, but kept having problems with my bedroom appearing in the reflection too.
