At last, a planned shoot; I much prefer it that way. As many budding photographers did tonight, I went to a local fireworks display. This one was near the city centre, and was probably Nottingham's biggest on bonfire night.
I last did a fireworks shoot during the Riverside Festival back in August. One thing I learnt in that shoot was not to be too close, so this time I got a spot further back. I wasn't that happy with my shoot and I struggled to select one particular favourite, but if you want to see the others please visit my Flickr page ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/vikdaddy/).
I met somebody with some great equipment during tonight's shoot. He asked for some advice about long exposures, so I was surprised when he whipped out his excellent kit. This dude had the Canon 5D Mark II and a collection of great lenses... I was a bit jealous!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

It's not the equipment that matters, it's the one behind the camera! :) And yes, I've learned too that for fireworks it's better to be little further. Anyway, I like this photo, nothing bad about it.
I especially like the colours in this photo.
