Jesus today was cold! It's the beginning of a brisk winter snap here in the UK; in fact, snow is expected in Nottingham this weekend. I thought the weather would be ideal for a sunset shot, but when I got to the local country park the clouds became abundant and the sunset was largely blocked. I got a few shots anyway, despite my hands being so stiff from the cold that I could hardly press the shutter button.
The sunset was to the left of this photo, but I chose this shot for today because I like the foreground interest. The next time I go out for a shoot outdoors I will not forget my gloves!
It's the worst time for my boiler to stop working. I think it's because there's no water pressure, but despite Googling how to fix the problem I can't seem to find the solution. I think it's something to do with a 'filling loop' but I'm not 100%. Any tips would be useful!

Ace composition Vik! I hear you... I think the best option are gloves that only have half of the fingers and the mitten to put on top of it... it's easier to manage the buttons on the camera ;-) I hear you on the boiler front... ours stopped working earlier this week. Unfortunately my approach is rather unscientific pushing all sorts of buttons until it starts working again...
Nice shot but can't help with the heating sorry... As it is, my storage heaters packed up a couple of weeks ago - Am waiting on a circuit board - early Dec I'm told!!! Brrrr....
Aren't most plumbers corgi registed (or whatever it's called now) so they can do heating? And I think in this weather I'd be getting it fixed asap, unless it's easy.
I thought of you when I just read this article on street photography. It was pretty good in my opinion. http://www.digital-photography-school.com/getting-close-and-personal-11-tips-for-close-up-candid-street-photography
