Sub-zero on Shakespeare Street

I left work early today to attend to my boiler. I mentioned in yesterday's post that my boiler had broke down, but luckily it's just the heating that's not working and not the hot water. I'd rather be cold than not shower! He's coming again tomorrow to fix it; I just hope it's not too costly.

When the engineer was done I went to the gym, and after I got my camera out and took a few shots 'from the hip'. It was so cold!

I wasn't happy with any of my shots really, as it was too dark and many of my shots were blurry. This was the best one, and when I ran it through Lightroom and used one of the many presets I downloaded yesterday I quite liked the effect. If you use Adobe Lightroom and you're interested in using presets like this, visit the ononesoftware website. They're free! ( http://www.ononesoftware.com/products/perfect-presets-lightroom/)

I finally succumbed and bought a new camera! I've ordered a Canon 7D with a 15-85mm lens, all for £1499. It was reduced for one day only as Jacobs, the camera retailer, were offering 'Black Friday' deals. I saved £200! My credit card is pleased, but I'm not sure my other half will be...

Canon S90, f/2, 1/10, ISO-800
Nice B&W! Looks empty there...
Why do boilers always break in the winter?!
