What's going on with my photos on Flickr? I mentioned in yesterday's post that three of my photos made Flickr's Explore page in the past week. Well, I hate to brag, but so did the image I took yesterday! How strange; maybe making the Explore page isn't the big deal I thought it was.
I knocked off a little early from work and stopped off at Nottingham Castle on the way to the gym. I took a few photos of it, but funnily enough I think I prefer the opposing view from the castle.
I think it's the colours in the sky with the setting sun that I like. I also like the wispy look of the trees, which I softened in post-processing by decreasing the clarity of the image. If you're interested, here's the photo I was going to choose of the Castle before I decided on this one ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/vikdaddy/5425659629/).
I sold my Canon 450D today. My trusty first D-SLR served me well. I was sad to see it go as I picked up my technique from it, but I'd prefer to have the money instead of it just gathering dust!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Brag away! It's a big achievement! Clearly you're taking photos people love so be happy about it :-)
This is gorgeous, the colours and the trees are just perfect together.
I can see why you had a hard time picking...the shot of the castle is amazing especially the perspective on the circular stonework. However this one is stunning...gorgeous colors and love the wispy trees.
I'm not big on landscapes or touristy shots, but I like this. The colours of the sky, the wispy nature of the trees and the colour of the buildings and grass make this a very special shot. I'm off to flickr to have a look...
