It's the Oscars tonight! My favourite film from 2010 is The Social Network, which taps in to the Zeitgeist better than most films that are Oscar-nominated in any given year. With clever dialogue and a mixture of current and age-old themes I think it should win best film, but whether it will is another thing. My money would be on The King's Speech, which is very good too but - for me at least - not the best of the year.
As an homage to The Social Network, I present to you my version of the movie's poster.
To process this shot I downloaded the font used for the original poster and added the text in Photoshop. With more time I could have done much better and perhaps taken a photo of me that was more flattering, but I wanted to wrap it up in time to watch the show!
This image also refers to how people follow me here. Currently I have 780 followers, which as we all know goes up as well as down; I had one less when I was processing, and it's the only time that having an additional follower was slightly annoying as I had to re-edit after I thought I'd finished!
It's also a mild riposte to the hot water I got myself in to recently by suggesting that somebody plagiarised my work, as many of you know. The backlash was surprising and intense to say the least, and I've learnt to keep my thoughts to myself! Now to do the same in real life...
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

this is so awesome! You should NEVER keep your mouth shut on something like plagiarism, but then I don't know the whole story so maybe I should be keeping my mouth shut!! lol.
Just come across from @andycoleborn to congratulate you too on a recent engagement. i was sorry to read here that you've had trouble with your pictures. Life is so busy I struggle to my pictures let alone keep up with everybody's 365 events.
