As I strolled back to my B&B after a dinner, I found myself in front of the grand Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The clock tower glowed under the soft light of the evening, the ancient statues standing guard above me as if watching over the city. A couple stood in silhouette, wrapped in the moment.
