This is especially for my friend Sallyann who loves bees, especially the white-tailed bee. There seems to be a nest of them somewhere in out garden this year and today they were working the aquilegias.
There are about 100 different sorts of wild bee in this country. When I applied for a bee-keeping course at Pershore Agricultural College I had to know something about the different ones and how they were different from hive bees, in order to pass the entrance exam. It was very interesting altogether.
