Well this is it. I feel proud to have accomplished 365 days taking photos. I sometimes used photos from a day to create a series and here and there filled in. But, for the most part I took photos everyday. I think we should all be very proud when we commit a whole year to a project that requires this type of dedication while we also work and live the rest of our lives.
I am also enriched by the interactions with the very thoughtful and encouraging people who follow each other and me. We are a small community among 40,000 members and I really enjoyed this aspect of the project. I know I will miss you and feel the gap.
For several weeks I contemplated the idea of continuing for another year. I wanted to do it to stay in touch and look at the wonderful photos and slices of life you share everyday. It is inspiring. In the end I decided to stay true to my one year of life plan. Now I am going to practice. I want to learn to take better photos by slowing down, taking fewer pictures and planning them more. I need to learn more about my camera and lenses, about light, compostion, settings, and the editing process. I also want to get involved with projects like the doggie photo shoot I am doing tomorrow if the weather is good. Since I can't do it all and do it well I think it is the right time to say adieu.
I have really enjoyed all of you. This is truly a unique project and you are what makes it so. Thanks again and keep taking those wonderful pictures of your special lives.
Congratulations, Wendy! I've enjoyed your photos, your comments and even your recipes! You will be missed, although I understand you have other projects that pull you away. I wish you all the best!

I'm feeling so sad as people complete their projects. I didn't think I would get attached like I have - I really enjoy seeing a bit of every day life in each project. I wish you well Wendy and it's wonderful to see the photographer behind all the wonderful photos I have been enjoying. Good luck with your new projects! :)

Congratulations Wendy on this huge accomplishment...I haven't been around much lately but I check in occasionally so when I saw this was your last week I just had to tell you what a pleasure it was following you and viewing your photos daily. You always had an encouraging word for everyone and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your support and encouragement! Good luck on all your endeavors, I have no doubt you'll be a huge success! Take care Wendy! :)
What a wonderful "selfie" to end your series...I am sad you are leaving 365 but certainly understand as I am on day 217 of year 2 and it sometimes does seem like I have extended myself a bit more than I should ...but glad we can continue to stay in touch via FB...all the best to you! I have really enjoyed your photos and getting to know you over this past year!
Congratulations on the end of your project and your future photography endeavors! I've enjoyed seeing all of your wonderful shots, and always appreciated the kind words you had.

So sad to see you go, Wendy, but looks like you have lots of great stuff ahead of you. Thank you for being such an inspiration over the past year and giving me such enjoyment through your wonderful photos. Best of luck in all your future endeavours.
I've enjoyed all of your pictures and glad that our lives crossed paths here. Your photos were an inspiration to me and touched me in many ways. I thank you for this. I understand about slowing down and taking better pictures. I think this is a great goal. Good luck and have fun. Stay in touch.
Such a lovely warm smile of you both and a wonderful picture for farewell. I am sad to part. You were a great friend here and I loved to see your pictures that were pedantry technically as well as emotionally touching. I begun to appreciate more flowers' photos with the ones you posted. Hope to be in touch in the future (near or far) and wish you enjoy all your plans and the projects you pursue and life in general.
Some tears in my eyes and a virtual hug for you.
Wow, so good for you to finish a whole year! I think you know we will miss you around here. I really enjoyed following you, your series of Britain was so beautiful! I went immediately to FB, so I will follow you there.
I totally understand that you will say goodbye now, I'm still thinking what to do at the end of my year...
You will be missed and I wish you all the best and keep making photographs, you're really good at it!
A bittersweet moment! Congratulations on finishing your project, it is for sure a momentous occasion, all that hard work and dedication to get you to this point. I've enjoyed catching up with your photos and getting an insight into your life over these last few months (i've just realise that i wasn't "officially" following you - that'll be why your photos never came onto my home page and i had to look you up all the time!! DOH!!) I shall miss your kind comments and our conversations...but i will add you to my FB account (even tho i am rubbish at keeping up with that!) and for sure if you ever need some advice on HDR give me a nudge and I will gladly help you out - I plan to get to the tutorial either Sunday or Monday depending on what i post! Also I wait in anticipation of a photo session with you next time you are in the UK!! Congrats on the pop page with your "foo-foo" Swallowtail too - that is an awesome shot! :o)
It's a lovely portrait to finish with. I don't think I'll ever forget your winter shots and I'll be thinking about you when I'm trying to do Northumberland justice next week. All the best to you & your family & enjoy the next steps of your photography.
Beautiful portrait. I'm so sorry to see you are leaving the project. I just started and really enjoyed your work and was looking forward to seeing more. Your work is terrific. However, I can see that this project is a lot of work and can see why 1 year would be enough. I wish you well and thanks for sharing all your wonderful photos with all of us. Glad to see you are going to continue with your photography. You will be missed!
It's been such a pleasure to get to know you here, Wendy. Your project has long been one of my favorites and I'll miss your daily photos. Congratulations on completing this project and I wish you all the best with your future ones!
Congratulations Wendy! Great accomplishment and I have really enjoyed seeing your world through your photos. Wishing you a great future with your camera!! Wonderful shot of you.
Awww...it's so sad to see you go, I will miss you on here! Thank you so much for your inspiration during the year and I wish you luck in everything you tackle...I know you will be brilliant if your 365 project is anything to go by! ...I will follow that on facebook! I love this photo too :-)
What a beautiful image to the closer. It is indeed a bittersweet moment. Congratulations on finishing your project, dear...it´s so much more than I think I can accomplish...Your work has inspired me so many times. Will miss you and your fantastic work!
Thanks for your kind comments, I have found it hard at times to keep it up and tend to go AWOL at times, but have always come back. Just have to organise the photos I took in summer and post them.
Thanks for your encouragement & friendship. I'm glad we both live in Wisconsin & will continue to connect to do photography together. Awesome project Wendy! Todd & you told me about 365 & it has made a big difference in my life this past year. I value you as a friend.
Congratulations, Wendy. What an accomplishment. I have so enjoyed your project and so appreciate your kind and thoughtful comments. You always gave a little bit of detail and feedback in your comments that I think we all appreciated (and will miss). My best to you as you move on to other projects and endeavors. Peace.
Congratulations! I have really enjoyed your work and getting to know you! Hopefully you post a shot every now and again still! I love this photo, your dog is adorable and I love how the tree frames the photo & the bokeh.
Wendy, thank you for your very kind words on my 365th shot. Your words touched me and I feel the same. I really have enjoyed our friendship and your photos. I'm glad we will keep in touch.
I am sorry Wendy that it has taken me so long to post a comment on this lovely photo. For the last couple of months I kept finding myself a day or two behind on viewing people's photos... and never could seem to be able to catch up! It has been great watching your journey and I thoroughly enjoy your beautiful landscapes and nature shots - and am glad I still get to enjoy them through FB. Thank you for your support during my project and a HUGE congratulations to you for a job well done - you made it!!! xo
You do wonderful work!!
Take care!
