We walked by this postbox every day on a steep hill. So many hidden secrets of love letters, cards to mark many occasions, bills, debts and so much more but how many letters to keeps us up to date with news!
The days of the internet make this an outdated mode of communication.

letters only -- that means the bill companies would have to dress up their letters in a romantic way, red envelopes maybe, or with prints of flowers and ribbons, to get in there. 🤣

Looks as if it needs a bit of TLC. The art of letter writing now belongs to a bygone age unfortunately. I was looking at some note cards in an NT shop today, but thought “when would I ever use them?”!

This must be a museum piece - it looks very antique. Once we were in the town of Bath and visited the Postal museum they have there; it was an interesting experience.
