Vase/Save

This is a fossicking find by
@30pics4jackiesdiamond. The plan is to cover the damaged area with copper foil. Regardless of its imperfections I think that it makes a very nice vase.
The name on the Jar is Virol. This is a 20th century brand of Malt extract which includes bone marrow. It was sold as a nutritional supplement for feeding infants.
Nice find! Very nice capture! Great idea to embellish and preserve the damage.
I read somewhere that the Japanese fix broken items in gold, because 'wounds' give value and must be properly attended.
(not sure if the philosophy is true, but it sounds nice)

@monikozi yes the Japanese art form is known as Kintsugi. Copper foiling is a similar process and a fun thing to do.

@wakelys Niice! Thanks for confirming. I thought it might be just another unverified internet bit of information.
Who is doing the copper foiling? That i would really love to try :D And most surely I would love to see the result on this piece.

Wow! I remember being given Virol every day on a spoon and really liked it. I would never have been able to tell you what I was called but recognised the name as soon as I read it. I don't recognise the jar though. Nice composition!

Great idea. It would have been a pity to throw that lovely vase away.
