This is our state flower. They bloom around this time each year and you will see parents plopping their kids down in the middle for pics! Took this pretty quick because they were right off the highway and the cars were zooming by!

Yes... guilty as a "kid plopper" when mine were little. Never on the highway though!! Surprised at how many families risk their life on the edge of the highway to get that Blue Bonnet shot!!
pretty amazing to have these growing wild and so thick! we have some wild ones here, not so light blue and not the white, they are just plain lupine to us.
