Inside St Martins in the fields church in Trafalgar Square in London. Absolutely gorgeous inside and I'm a sucker for Churches. This Pianist was playing a beautiful recital.

Love the atmosphere of the lone pianist and the lone listener. Good exposure and focus too.

I noticed the window too - clever cruciform design. Gorgeous picture, so full of calm.

beautiful capture of that interior and the lone pianist - do you remember all the debate about that window when it went in, a few yeas ago, as part of the reordering of the interior. I always thought it was a great piece of modern glass in keeping with the Georgian building

@a_nusha thanks anna

@shanne thanks shanne. No, i didn't know about the debate, very interesting

Beautiful looking church. It has such lovely colors.
posted March 29th, 2012
Beautiful shot! At first I wondered why you were playing around with the glass in the window, but then decided it was meant to be that way for the cross- but was it originally like that? That would have been quite avant garde for a church built during the time of Henry VIII.
