Donkey Hóte

I took a walk along the Thompson Creek Trail today, mainly for a change of scenery. Backed up to the trail are several houses that are zoned for horses.

The large signs stating don't feed the animals on the fence were obviously needed as this donkey, with his companion goat came over, found a hole in the fence so he could get as close as possible to me, just in case I might have some kind of hand out for him. I was close enough I could feel the breath coming from his nostrils as he tried to get any food I had. I didn't have any and stayed away just in case he decided that my fingers or possibly my lens cap might look interesting as a snack.
Cool shot

They sound very friendly and curious. Obviously others have not heeded the signs, because they know you likely have some snack hiding somewhere.
