Many people ask me which movie we saw that influenced our decision to name our youngest Elliott. Was it Pete's Dragon or E.T. the Extraterrestrial?

The answer is neither. He was actually named for a Brad Pitt character in the movie, The Favor.

He was very obliging today when I asked him whether he wanted to be my subject for 365. A simple desk lamp gave all the lighting for this one. He liked the serious look better than the smiling one, so here is my serious boy.

The lighting is great, and it brings out the intensity of his stare.

@carolinedreams The magnifying glass puts the photo large and on black.

Oh I had no idea :-) That's so much better! Gives a whole new meaning to 'best viewed large'. Thanks.

Great shot Paul! I've been trying to do some portraits lately so this is particularly interesting to me. You could have at least wiped the milk off his lip before the picture though! ;-)

Wow, this is most excellent, Paul! And it is simply stunning when magnified against the black background. I see what you mean about continuing to experiment. I would have never thought to do this. Elliot is very handsome!
