My encounters with the dragonflies yesterday yielded some very interesting shots. I shot a couple of the blue ones, then the orange dragonflies appeared out of nowhere.

This one grabbed the top of this little reed flower and hung on. I have no idea where its other two legs are, but I shot several and was a little disappointed in the lighting, but then got to thinking that this looks like one of those old style coffee houses or bars that would host blues singers. The dragonfly looks like it's holding onto the microphone and won't let go until it's done with its song

I like this shot as a silhouette, such clarity of detail you can even see that he hasn't shaved his legs!
