They forecast a thunderstorm at 6.30pm but it starting a little early. Edward was terrified of the thunder so I only got a few shots in & watched it from the loungeroom window. The sky lit up in these beautiful tones of pinks, purples & blues.
My settings weren't right so I darkened this a bit, was happy with my first attempt at it
@carolinedreams Hi Caroline, a long exposure for you. Have priced the filters required but will unable to get one until next week so when I get it I will have a go with a daytime shot. The previous shot is a long exposure at dusk
Beautiful! We had a pretty dramatic storm today too but it didn't last long and I wasn't anywhere where I could try my hand at taking storm photos. Love the colours in this!
wow- the colors of the sky are amazing! So sorry Edward was scared- but sometimes those thunder and lightning storms are terrifying even for adults! I'm sure a hug from Mum made it a lot better. Beautiful shot.
so cool! I was watching lightning storms out in Arizona last week but we were on the highway with no stopping us so I couldn't even get one try at a lightning pic.
I love the purple
@wenbow I saw this comment first thing this morning ... I have been walkin round all day with a Silly Grin on my Mug ... I am just Speechless ... Been trin to figger out what to say ... I can only Say ... You Touched My Heart at the very Core ... You My Friend are a Keeper ... May Peace Always find Your Heart Wendy ...
This is just gorgeous. Well done! I hope I have lovely results like this when I get around to trying long exposure. I am loving the challenge you set me- so entertaining!
