This little female superb fairy wren is a regular in the yard along with her mate. Their chirping is so familiar to me now that I always know when they are about. This project has had me chasing heaps of birds, I have learned a lot about the different types & their tunes they sing. How to actually get a shot of one was a big learning curve. I love this part of my project, the bird lady part
would like to know what you have learned! at the beginning, ten years ago, i went into a shop that was selling digital cameras and asked for a camera with which i could make photos of birds. the ones they showed me were all not affordable for me, so i gave it up. i just have the chance sometimes to meet very tame birds in a park. i always wonder how other people manage to make such perfect pictures like yours :-)
@aristide Hi Ari,
I am lucky enough my family & friends got together & gave me my camera for my 40th brithday. It has a 70mm-300mm lens which I use to chase birds around so you get close without getting close. It must be amusing to other people watching me sneak up on them. I am shooting manual with my camera now, it takes a little patience getting the right settings & getting a bird to stay. I do get a lot of bad shots to score one good one somedays. Most of my shots are from my yard, on our road home or at the beach near where I work. Love the challenge of it
Cute birdie!!! LOVE lilacs. Always had them outside our windows growing up. My father got an earful of cries when I came home one day and the bushes were gone!! He had no idea they meant so much to me!! Funny now to think of the stunned look on his face :)
And your wren really is cute. I like how he's framed!!
