One Tree Hill

From National Park returned to Auckland...

The obelisk is in memory of Sir John Logan Campbell, the "Father of Auckland", and stands on a volcanic peak known as "One Tree Hill" (the tree long gone, though new ones have been planted in a small enclosure a little lower down).
