Rock & Not Roll

I wouldn't have wanted to get crushed by this!

It's a lithic stone sphere, one of several at the National Museum in San José.

The spheres are mysterious for their incredible hardness and yet perfect shape, and are thought to have been crafted by the indigenous Diquis (about 700 to 1530 AD), though their original significance is not known.
interesting stone

An interesting sight. It was well crafted and appears to have kept it's shape and integrity despite its age.
